Region 10 Donation Opportunity
Thank you! For your consideration in donating to Region 10 of The United States Police Canine Association. The USPCA is a non-profit organization aimed at setting the standard for Police Canine training across the nation. The USPCA supports Police Departments across the U.S. with active members. The USPCA is comprised of multiple regions where each Region gives local support for the Departments in its area.
Region 10 plays a vital role in your area in helping with the cost of training healthy working Police dogs when a department can not meet the need. In the past the Region has helped cover the cost of educational training for our handlers which keeps them safe on the street. Region 10 has also been able to purchase safety equipment for the dogs which help prevent injury in the line of duty. In the event of injury of a K9, the local regions have in the past incurred the cost of medical treatment helping those canines return to a healthy status. The USPCA as an organization provides support to every region from training to legal support with civil litigation.
The majority of our funding is raised by our K9 handlers who are currently serving their community. We appreciate any and all donations from local business and private sources which are tax deductible. 100% of any donation goes directly to the K9 Divisions to support their needs with K9 related training expenses and does not go toward a Departments general budget.
Businesses who donate are given opportunities to advertise at USPCA associated local events and should inquire further about this when donating. If you are considering donating but would like to hear more please reach out to the K9 Handler that referred you or contact Lt. Lyle Andre with the Baton Rouge Police Department K9 Division at 225-978-5324.
